The Client Portal

 

Many legacy LIMS systems have added a rudimentary client-facing portal as an afterthought. CoreOne for Labs is built on the concept of rapid data collection and real-time reporting. This ideal extends beyond the internal lab system to the client portal.

 

Through an easy-to-use interface, clients are afforded the ability to easily create submissions, track accessions, access all test results and reports, view invoices and statements, and make payments. Test catalog data is available while ordering tests, providing clients with pricing, sampling requirements, packing instructions and more. This 24/7 access to account and testing data can reduce the need for client telephone calls to the lab, giving clients the ability to easily locate information they need when they need it.

Portal generated submission forms makes the receiving of samples and creation of the accession as easy as a simple scan of the barcode. To further increase efficiency and improve client service, a new ‘mark as stat’ feature has been implemented. When expedited testing is required, accessions can be marked as stat, clearly indicating to lab staff the priority nature of the request. As soon as test results are released, clients can access the results and PDF reports via the portal.
