Washington State Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory

Following a very rigorous evaluation of available systems, the Washington State Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (WADDL) at Washington State University, has chosen Trace First’s CoreOne for Labs as their new laboratory information management system.  WADDL joins seven other laboratories in North America that will be using the CoreOne for Labs system. Built on a modern cloud-based software architecture, CoreOne for Labs offers a step-change in speed of operation and flexibility for customers.

Commenting on the selection of CoreOne for Labs, Dr. Tim Baszler WADDL’s Director said, “Trace First CoreOne for Labs LIMS is a well-organized database built on modern computer code, easy and flexible access for data searching and retrieval, well developed electronic connectivity to laboratory equipment, and a practical and fully functional user interface.  Furthermore, their transition and support team had strong references from other diagnostic laboratories that utilize CoreOne for Labs.”

Tammy Leimer, Trace First’s CoreOne for Labs Business Manager, stated “Trace First is excited to have WADDL joining the CoreOne for Labs family.  The combination of CoreOne for Labs scalability, reliability and customizability will assist WADDL in meeting their mission of providing “accurate, state-of-the-art, timely, and cost-effective” services to their clients.  This past year has taught us all a lesson on the need to provide rapid and reliable diagnostic results when faced with a global disease emergency.  Features such as customized barcode labels, rapid accessioning, built-in messaging and a robust client portal make CoreOne for Labs the LIMS WADDL needs to continue to be a leader in the animal health world.”
